What is an orthopedic pillow, and how is it different from a regular pillow?
Orthopedic pillows are anatomically designed to support the alignment of the neck, shoulders, and spine. Unlike standard pillows, they aim to keep the head and neck in a neutral position, reducing pressure points and maintaining proper posture during sleep.
LASEL SLEEP orthopedic pillows are made with viscoelastic (memory) foam technology; they mold to body heat and pressure, then slowly return to their original shape once released.
Which pillow is suitable for neck and back pain?
For those experiencing neck and back pain, medium-firm density, wave-shaped models that support the curve of the neck are generally recommended. The exact product choice may vary depending on your sleep position (back, side, stomach) and current discomfort.

Should the height be different for side sleepers versus back sleepers?
Yes. Side sleepers generally prefer higher-profile pillows to balance out shoulder width, while back sleepers tend to do best with a medium height, and stomach sleepers are recommended lower, softer profiles. Model-specific height (cm) information is included in the product descriptions.
Does memory (visco) foam have an odor when first used, and does its firmness change over time?
With viscoelastic foam products, a slight, temporary odor may be noticeable when first unpacked due to vacuum packaging after manufacturing; this dissipates within a few hours with airing out, and the product is not harmful to health. The pillow's firmness may vary slightly depending on room temperature (a bit firmer in cold, softer in warm conditions); this is a natural characteristic of viscoelastic foam.
How often should an orthopedic pillow be replaced?
Depending on frequency of use and care, the average lifespan of a quality viscoelastic pillow is around 2-3 years. If you notice permanent sagging, clumping, or loss of support in your pillow, it may be time to replace it.
How is a travel pillow used on planes, in cars, and on trains?
Wrap it around your neck in a U-shape to prevent your head and neck from dropping; it can also be used by leaning against the headrest or resting against the window. Our adjustable buckle/velcro strap models let you adjust the tightness to fit your neck size.
Can the travel pillow be folded, and does it take up little space in luggage?
Most models in our travel range feature a foldable/vacuum-compressible design and can be packed with the included mesh bag/pouch to take up minimal space in your luggage. Models labeled "foldable" on the product page have this feature.
What's the difference between a travel pillow and an orthopedic pillow?
Travel pillows are optimized for short-term use and portability, and are generally lighter and more compact. Orthopedic pillows, on the other hand, are designed for regular overnight use, to support neck and spine alignment over the long term, and contain higher-density foam.
Can I wash the pillowcase? Can the viscoelastic foam itself be washed?
The cover can generally be machine washed with water not exceeding 30°C (see the instructions on the product label). The viscoelastic foam core must never be machine washed or submerged in water — the foam structure can be damaged upon contact with water. For the foam part, surface cleaning with a slightly damp cloth and regular airing out is recommended.
How should I prepare the pillow for first use?
After removing it from its vacuum packaging, we recommend letting the pillow sit in an open, well-ventilated area for 24-48 hours so it can fully regain its original volume and any odor can dissipate completely.
Is there a risk of allergic reaction with the products?
Our products are manufactured with certified, safe raw materials. However, if you have sensitive skin or known allergies, we recommend reviewing the content/material information in the product description, and if needed, contacting us at info@laselgroup.com before purchasing.
When will my order be shipped?
Domestic orders within Turkey are handed over to the courier within 1 business day. Orders placed before 3:00 PM are shipped the same day. Dispatch only takes place Monday through Friday.
Is shipping paid?
Shipping is free for all domestic orders within Turkey. For international orders, shipping is free for amounts of 5,000 TL and above; below this amount, a shipping fee shown in the order summary applies.
Can I return the product if I don't like it?
Yes, you can request a return by exercising your right of withdrawal within 14 days from the delivery date. Domestic return shipping costs within Turkey are covered by us.
